To process trailer rental agreements and comply with vehicle asset protection laws, we collect:

• Full names, South African Identity Number or Passport Number;
• Contact details including email address, mobile phone number, and physical residential address;
• High-resolution digital copies of your South African Driver's Licence and Proof of Residence;
• Registered company CIPC documents and VAT numbers (for commercial accounts);
• Electronic payment references and digital signatures recorded on rental agreements.

3. Purpose of Processing

Your personal information is strictly processed for the following legitimate commercial and legal purposes:

• Verifying legal eligibility to tow specific trailers under the National Road Traffic Act;
• Generating legally enforceable rental agreements, tax invoices, and payment receipts;
• Assisting law enforcement or insurance underwriters in the unfortunate event of vehicle theft, damage, or roadside collision;
• Processing security deposit refunds back to your verified bank account.

4. Data Storage and Security Measures

All customer documents and personal information are encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 encryption and stored securely with strict role-based access control. Only authorized PK IT Trading verification and compliance personnel have permission to review identity documents.

We will never sell, lease, or distribute your personal details to third-party marketing companies.

5. Your Rights as a Data Subject

Under POPIA, you have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, request the correction or updating of out-of-date information, or request the deletion of your account once all active rentals and statutory tax record retention periods (5 years under the Tax Administration Act) have elapsed.
